Muslim groups sought the arrest of suspended BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma, which spurred small-scale protests across India.
Following controversial remarks made by members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) has vowed to carry out terror strikes in the Indian states of Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, and the Delhi (BJP).
The AQIS threatened to carry out suicide strikes to "fight for the Prophet's honour" in a letter dated June 6.
The AQIS threat letter reads - "A few days ago, the propagators and flag bearers of Hindutva insulted and slandered the purest of beings, the most honourable after God himself, Muhammad al Mustafa, Ahmad al Mujtaba, and his noble and pure wife, the mother of the believers, Sayyidah Ayesha bint Abu Bakr as Siddeeq in the vilest and evil manner on an Indian TV channel."
Muslims worldwide are weeping and imbued with feelings of vengeance and retaliation in response to this insult.
The letter also imbibes the feelings of every Muslim people as they are angry; the letter further states - "We warn every audacious and impudent foul mouth in the world, especially the Hindutva terrorists occupying India, that we must fight for the dignity of our Prophet, that we must urge others to fight and die for the honour of our Prophet, that we must kill those who insult our Prophet, and that we must bind explosives with our bodies and the bodies of our children to blow away the ranks of those who dare to dishonour our Prophet."
"The saffron terrorists should now be waiting for their demise in Delhi, Bombay, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat." "They should not seek refuge in their homes or fortified army cantonments," the letter states.
West Asian countries and Muslim-majority countries have reacted angrily to controversial remarks made by BJP members Nupur Sharma and media in-charge Naveen Jindal about Prophet Mohammed.
