    UP man arrested for allegedly selling chicken on paper with Hindu deities' images

    According to the FIR, the man also assaulted a police team that went to his shop.


    Digital Desk: In Uttar Pradesh, a man was arrested for allegedly infringing on religious sentiments by selling chicken on a piece of paper with images of Hindu deities and attacking a police team.


    "On Sunday, some people complained that Talib Hussain was selling chicken from his shop on a piece of paper bearing a picture of a Hindu god and goddess, intruding on their religious feelings," police said.


     According to the FIR, When a police team arrived at his shop, Hussain attacked them with a knife with the intent to kill. 


    As a result, Talib was charged under IPC Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups based on religion, race, place of birth, or residence), 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), and 307 (promoting enmity between different groups based on religion, race, place of birth, or residence) (murder attempt).
