Waliullah Khan was found guilty in two trials relating to a series of bomb blasts in Varanasi in 2006 that killed 20 people and injured over 100 others.
Digital Desk: A Ghaziabad court sentenced convicted
terrorist Waliullah Khan to death and life imprisonment for the 2006 Varanasi
serial explosions, reports said. After the blast, authorities detained Mohammad
Waliullah, who is a resident of Phoolpur in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, and
trials of his cases were held in Ghaziabad after lawyers in Varanasi declined
to defend him.
Moreover, the accused was found guilty on June 4 by a
court in Ghaziabad.

Varanasi in 2006 that killed 20 people and injured over 100 others. The first
bomb exploded within the Sankat Mochak temple at 6.15 p.m. on March 7, 2006,
and the second bomb exploded outside the first-class retiring room at Varanasi
Cantonment Railway Station 15 minutes later.
According to Rediff News article from 2006, a third live bomb was discovered in a
residential area of Gudaulia and was diffused.
It may be
mentioned that reports a fourth bomb was also recovered at
Varanasi's famous Gangaghat.
