Digital Desk: The Kerala High Court has come to the rescue of a
lesbian couple and allowed them to stay together. On Tuesday, the High Court
gave a historic verdict, providing a huge relief to the couple.

italic">Adila Nasreen and Fatima Noora earlier alleged that their families
prevented them from living together.

Adila
had filed a petition for Nasreen, seeking the court's intervention so that they
could stay together. Adila had also issued a video appeal expressing concern
for her partner, Nasreen.

"I
am happy after the decision and feel relieved." It was tough and
emotionally draining. We had the support of the LGBT community. They really
helped us and supported us very much. "With the high court's order, we are
now free and happy," said Adila, a petitioner in the case.

However,
Adila said they are still scared as their families are still 'threatening'

My
family hasn't contacted me saying they did not want any further communication
with me. They literally disowned me and I have had no contact with them,
"she further added.

Earlier, the couple's families
convicted them and were allegedly harassing them over their relationship.
