IMD predicts rainfall over Assam and NE states amid cyclone 'Hamoon'
Hamoon is now expected to move northeastwards, weakening further into a depression over the following six hours...

Digital Desk: As of the most recent advisory issued on October 25, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a significant update on the cyclonic storm "Hamoon," which had been causing concern in the region. It has now significantly weakened and changed into a Deep Depression over southeast Bangladesh and adjacent Mizoram.

The cyclone, which was initially predicted to bring thunderstorms and significant rainfall to Northeast India and Assam, has gradually reduced over time.

'Hamoon' is now expected to move northeastwards, weakening further into a depression over the following six hours, according to the IMD report. It is then expected to diminish much more over the next six hours, becoming a clearly defined low-pressure region.

Areas on high alert following the earlier danger of "Hamoon" are relieved by this update. The threat of severe weather conditions and the possibility of causing harm to life and property decrease as the cyclone decreases. Showers and precipitation are still expected in some areas of Assam and Northeast India.
