Digital Desk: The National Highway No 10 has finally reopened after being closed for 16 days due to the recent flash floods that wreaked havoc in the region. The NH-10, a vital lifeline in the Himalayan state, now connects Teesta to Sethijhora, bringing relief to the residents and travelers alike.

To ensure the safe resumption of traffic, Balasubramanian T, the district magistrate of Kalimpong in neighboring West Bengal, issued a circular today. According to the circular, small and light vehicles are permitted to move along this route in a single lane from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For travelers heading towards Siliguri, small and light vehicles can use a single lane from the Rangpo-Melli-Teesta bridge leading to Sethijhora. Meanwhile, vehicles bound for Darjeeling can utilize a single lane from Sethijhora, proceeding through the Birik Dara route to reach their destination.

This reopening signifies a step towards normalcy and connectivity for the region, offering respite to commuters who rely on this vital transportation artery.
