Digital Desk: After a viral social media video went viral, a female home guard at the Chabua Police Station in Dibrugarh, Assam, was suspended from her job. Mili Prabha Chutia was shown on camera being inappropriate during a Bihu event at the station.
Ms. Chutia, who was a member of the security detail, is seen stepping onto the stage without being invited. She then engages inappropriately, giving well-known Assamese singer Zubeen Garg hugs, kisses, and touches to his feet while he is performing.
It is to be noted that Chutia has been suspended from her job as a result of the event, which has drawn indignation and spurred immediate action from the authorities. Given that the video shows a law enforcement agent acting inappropriately, especially at a public event where professionalism and duty observance are required, it has garnered criticism.
The occurrence raises questions regarding the discipline and conduct of the security personnel on duty, so more inquiries are being conducted into the matter.
