5 drug peddlers apprehended by Noonmati Police and CGPD, seizes heroin, and mobile phones

Guwahati: In yet another illicit drugs busting case, five drug traffickers and peddlers have been arrested by a Team from Noonmati Police Station and SOG of Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) on Thursday evening.

The cops arrested the peddlers and seized drugs from them. 50 vials with suspected Heroin (16 gms), 107 empty vials, 12 Mobile handsets, and 15 syringes had been seized from the five drug peddlers.

The arrested peddler’s names were Ankurjyoti Das, Md Rahul Hussain, Ajit Saikia, Rajib Rajbangshi, Kishor Sarmah. Further investigation is on to unearth linkages.

Notably, the Assam police have been busting drugs racket in the State for the last three months.
