service that operates through an app, called "ASTC City Cab." Parimal
Suklabaidya, the Assam Minister of Transport, Excise, and Fisheries, introduced
the app in Guwahati.

available to Guwahati residents as part of a special programme.

assist travellers.
This taxi business will reportedly employ up
to 50,000 cabs, according to sources. The service would also be advantageous to
the drivers since they will only be required to pay Rs. 12.50 per day in
commission for each journey to the app.
