Digital Desk: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced on Monday that the final round of admission into the four-year undergraduate degree course of the Assam Higher Education Admission portal will begin on Monday (11 Sep).

Pegu posted the following notice from the Office of the Director of Higher Education on X, he wrote: "Assam Higher Education Admission portal will be opened today for the final round of admissions into 4 Year Undergraduate Degree Courses."

The department has ordered all Assam-based higher education institutions that provide undergraduate programs to strictly comply with the notice's time frame, which states that the portal would be open till September 17.

The following in the timeline that is to be followed by the institutions and the candidates are:

• On September 11, students whose admission to other institutions through CUET or other modes of selection has been communicated to the institutions will have their admissions cancelled.

• Dates for submitting applications to the Assam Higher Education Admission Portal are September 12–14.

• September 13–15: Subject to available seats, and spot admissions (offline).

• September 11–15: Updates to the Portal's Fee Waiver Details

• September 16–17: Complete modification, correction, and updating of any remaining admissions discrepancies, if any, to be done on the website.
