and killed a businessman in Bilasipara, Assam's Dhubri district. The
victim, named as Baser Ali, was a well-known and established businessman in the
region.

color:black">Unidentified miscreants shot Ali at point-blank range near
Bhairabganj in Bilasipara last night, according to sources, and he died on the
spot.

color:black">The miscreants then abandoned the scene and vanished into the
darkness.

color:black">Following the event, local police arrived on the scene and began
an investigation. An empty cartridge was also retrieved from the crime scene by
authorities.

color:black">According to accounts, the businessman was assassinated over a
money disagreement. The precise cause of the escalation, on the other hand,
will be determined after a thorough examination.
