A search operation is currently being conducted where some of the missing pieces of the dead Amarjyoti Dey's bones were recovered earlier.
Digital Desk: In the horrific twin-murder case of Noonmati, the Guwahati Police on Saturday began search operations in Meghalaya's Dawki to recover body parts of the deceased.
With her two accomplices Arup Deka and Dhanti Deka, Bondona Kalita—the main suspect in the horrifying twin murder case—was taken to Dawki this morning to conduct search operations. There was a large police presence surrounding the group.
When the police arrived in Dawki, they searched all of the potential areas that the three had mentioned. The police conducted extensive search operations but were unable to find any body parts.
However, the plastic that had been used to wrap the cut body parts was found by the police.

Bandana was sent to the Noonmati police station early this morning. She was under the custody of the Panbazar All Women Police Station.
The machete used in the murder case was sent for a forensic examination on Friday. During search activities that were started on Thursday, the Guwahati police were able to recover the sharp machete from Bondajan beel.
The three accused, Bandana Kalita, Arup Deka, and Dhanjit Deka, reportedly underwent an hour of questioning at the Noonmati Police Station before the search operation.
On Wednesday, the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court remanded Bandana Kalita, the prime suspect in the crime of Shraddha Walker, to police custody for an additional six days. Bondona was previously remanded in custody for an extra six days after her initial four-day police detention period ended on Wednesday.
It should be noted that Bandana Kalita is the main suspect, having planned the murders of her husband and mother-in-law with the help of the two other accomplices.
The mother-son duo was killed, their bodies were cut into pieces, and stuffed the parts in a refrigerator for three days before the trio went on a rampage and disposed of the body parts in the neighbouring state of Meghalaya.
The Guwahati Police located numerous missing parts of Amarjyoti Dey's body in Meghalaya on Tuesday. In Dawki's deep gorges, the police discovered the body parts of Amarjyoti that were missing, including his hands and legs. Together with a T-shirt, the authorities also found the deceased Amarjyoti's backbone in another location in Dawki.
