Digital Desk: A large human trafficking ring was exposed when a lady from Raha, Assam, was located in Haryana after more than a month, according to reports on Friday.
Under the guise of marriage, the traffickers trapped the young woman, who lived in Raha in Nagaon, Assam. Relatives of the victim claim that they took her to Haryana and proposed marriage to her.
According to her family, on March 14 of this year, the unidentified accused traffickers brought her to Haryana. Admittedly, they took the money and took it without question, thinking their daughter would be married. They also admitted that they got Rs 3 lakh for taking their girl away.
Nevertheless, the family reported the matter to the authorities after realizing it was all a scam and that their daughter had been kidnapped.
The police conducted an inquiry after receiving a complaint from the family, and they were able to locate her in Haryana. Officials say they are attempting to contact and rescue the woman, who they believe is currently residing in Haryana.
