    Digital Desk: A World War II-era bomb weighing 182 kg, found in Assam in 2024, was defused by the Air Force in Lakhimpur district on Thursday. According to the Lakhimpur district officials, the bomb was discovered by the air force on the banks of the Jhili River on September 27, 2024.

    Lakhimpur district commissioner Pronab Jit Kakoty said that the bomb was active at the time of recovery. It was defused by the Air Force experts inside Dulung Reserve Forest, he said.
