Digital Desk: A father who believed a Class X student in
Tinsukia, Assam, to be dating his teenage daughter on Monday tied him up, beat
him, and cut off both of his ears.
Based on a FIR that the victim's mother filed, the police have
detained the girl's father.
The individual has been accused by the police of violating
Indian Penal Code Section 326, which deals with intentionally causing great
bodily harm using hazardous weapons.
The youngster allegedly developed a relationship with the
accused's young daughter, which the police said he had resisted.
The victim's ears have been sewed back, and his condition is
said to be stable.
In Tinsukia's Bordumsa police station, in the village of
Simaluguri, the incident occurred.
The accused reportedly discovered the boy and the girl in his
home and went into a horrible rage. The suspect beat the youngster, then tied
his hands and legs before chopping off his ears.
"When a boy was found trying to steal, the girl's father
himself called the police to report the incident. The entire episode was made
public when the child was questioned by the police about his wounds. The
individual was taken into custody on Monday night, "said Debojit Deuri, a
Tinsukia SP.
Following the incident, the neighbourhood became tense, and
the boy's family called for justice.
