Digital Desk: In a horrifying incident, a 29-year-old businessman's headless body was found near National Highway 515 at Jalkiya Suti, Silapathar of Dhemaji district, Assam. The deceased was identified as Kangkan Das of No. 2 Bhairabpur, Silapathar. The horror incident of recovering his semi-nude body with multiple injuries sparked a wave of terror and safety concerns among the people of the area.
Kangkan Das, also known as Suman was the son of Karna Das of Silapathar. He recently returned to his native place from Arunachal to support his ailing mother, where he ran his business.
According to police reports, Kangkan's body was abandoned near the highway after brutally killing him with a sharp weapon. His blue Swift car, bearing the registration number AS 04S/8431 was also found near his body.
According to reports, Kangkan was last seen at his maternal uncle's house on Thursday evening at around 9 PM. He was supposed to visit Dibrugarh for his work. However, his body was recovered the next morning from the National Highway 515 of Silapathar.
The authorities recovered the headless body of Kangkan in the presence of the District Magistrate and Deputy Superintendent of Police. The police seized Kangkan's car as part of the investigation.
An investigation has been underway to apprehend the murderers. Various organizations have gathered to protest against the gruesome murder case and demanded justice. The local people are saddened by the tragic death of the young businessman.
