Local residents are raising strong objections to the construction.
Digital Desk: The land owned by Oil India Limited (OIL) has been illegally captured by a businessman at Jagiroad. The disputed land area lies within the Gova Mouza agricultural territory in plots 442 and 226, which amount to 1 Bigha and 1 Katha. The land was officially registered under Agarwala, who operates as a leading businessman of Jagiroad. However, the encroached land by Agarwala , is protected and reserved for OIL INDIA, which is now blocked off with a massive wall constructed by Agarwala.
Local people living nearby strongly oppose the construction since it cut off their main public access path that people traditionally used to access the land needed for, which is vital for the movement of local residents and visitors. People are strongly opposing strongly about how and why an individual can occupy government land without facing any repercussions.
This land encroachment clearly raises doubts about Agarwala's influence and demonstrates how easily such theft of government property can happen. Before this incident, the Jagiroad police have filed complaints against Agarwala regarding his land encroachment. Jagiroad’s residents have requested a detailed probe of the matter alongside corrective steps to return stolen land and secure justice for the affected people as a result of the illegal wall installation.
