She secured the top MRF Tyres ICC Women's T20I Player Rankings after a pleasing performance in the first two rounds of the ongoing three-match series against South Africa in Lucknow.
The 17-year-old opener had grasped the top place for the first time after allowing her side to get the knockout stage of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup last year in Australia, has bested Australia's Beth Mooney with scores of 23 and 47.
The South Africa opener Lizelle Lee additionally gained in the ICC women's T20 ranking even though the big-hitting opener lost her highest spot in the ODI rankings after substituting England's Tammy Beaumont. Lee has earned three places to get 11th position among T20I batters following a match-winning 70 that helped South Africa win a 2-0 charge.
Laura Wolvaardt has climbed five places to 24th after driving her squad to success with an unbeaten 53 in the second match. At the same time, captain Sune Luus (up to five spots to 38th) and Nadine de Klerk (up to three spots to 74th) are the extra South Africans to progress in the batting checklist.

For India, captain Mithali Raj, a formerly top-ranked batter, has pushed up one spot to eighth following an unbeaten 79, while Priya Punia has pushed up to five spots to 53rd. Gayakwad is up to eight spots to 38th among bowlers.
