Digital desk : Former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan wrote a heart wrenching birthday post for his son Zoravar. Sharing some pictures with Zoravar, Dhawan in a Instagram post wrote, "No matter the distance, even if we can't connect as we once did, you will always be in my heart. Wishing you a year filled with madness, love and happiness, Zora beta!"
Dhawan and his former wife Ayesha Mukherjee parted ways last year. Dhawan was granted divorce by a Delhi family court on the grounds of cruelty on October, 2023. Dhawan accused Ayesha of forcing him to transfer the ownership of three properties in Australia to her. Having been separated from his wife, Dhawan has not been able to meet Zoravar in person for more than two years.
Following the divorce, Dhawan was awarded with visitation rights to his son both in India and Australia. Despite the court's orders, Dhawan is still not able to reunite with his son. Shikhar Dhawan often shares pictures with his son expressing his heartfelt love for him.
The Indian opener announced his retirement from international cricket in this year. In 167 ODI matches, he scored 6793 runs including 17 centuries and 39 fifties. In Test cricket, he scored 2315 runs in 34 matches including 7 centuries and 5 half centuries. In T20Is, he scored 1759
runs including 11 fifties.
