YouTube launches ‘New to You’ feature to improve content discovery and expand audience reach

Washington: Popular online video streaming and social media platform Youtube has unveiled a new feature named “New to You” on Monday.

According to the company sources, this new feature will enable users of this platform to discover new video creators and access video contents beyond the usual and recommended videos they usually come across regularly.

The company has stated that this new feature will also allow users to get personalized content. Additionally, it will also be helpful in striking a balance between the content the users might be interested in and the content that are little out of the ordinary that the viewers might also like to watch.

This “New to You’’ tab will be available for users on top of the Youtube Home Feed within the explorer bar. It will be available across mobile, desktop and television devices. However, the users have to be signed in order to view the same.

In its official blog post Youtube has said that “You've told us that you want to see new creators and new videos after you've caught up on your recommendations, so we hope this new option keeps things fresh, while also helping creators connect with new audiences."

This new feature is set to help viewers explore newer contents. Besides, it will also help creators to find newer audiences and expand their reach.
