Digital Desk: According to an official statement, NITI Aayog
today unveiled two important projects: the E-AMRIT (Accelerated e-Mobility
Revolution for India's Transportation) mobile application to promote electric
mobility and the Report on Advanced Chemistry Cell Battery Reuse and Recycling
Market in India. These projects will be implemented during the visit of COP 26
President Alok Sharma to India on July 21–22, 2022.

leaders that have endorsed and joined the UK's Glasgow Breakthroughs, which was
unveiled at the COP26 climate meeting. Along with the US and the UK, India is a
co-convener of the Glasgow Breakthrough on Road Transport.

on Road Transport intends to make Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) the new norm by
making them affordable, accessible, and sustainable in all regions by 2030.
ZEVs include 2 and 3-wheelers, automobiles, vans, and Heavy-Duty Vehicles.

Iyer emphasised during the EV initiative introduction that India's EV adoption
will increase exponentially over the next ten years due to the EV ecosystem's
quick development, increased industry involvement, international cooperation,

advantages of electric vehicles, calculate savings, and have all the
information on market and industry changes at their fingertips.
The mobile software is a follow-up to the e-AMRIT and will
be made accessible on Google Playstore in the android version today, according
to the release.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a bold five-point
"Panchamrit" goal at the COP26 meeting in Glasgow in late 2021,
including achieving 500 GW of non-fossil electrical generation, generating half
of all energy needs from renewable sources, and reducing emissions by 1 billion
tonnes by 2030.
India also wants to cut its GDP's emissions intensity by
45%. India pledges to have zero emissions by 2070.
