    Elections 2021: BJP to fight from 92 seats, while AGP and UPPL spared 26 and 8 seats each

    Guwahati: The political atmosphere in Assam is gaining the heat with each passing day as the Assam Assembly Elections 2021 date nears. The ruling BJP will contest from 92 seats in the Assam Assembly Elections, granting 26 seats to its ally Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and 8 seats for UPPL.

    The decision on seat sharing for the upcoming elections was decided in BJP central election committee meeting of the BJP-led alliance’s stakeholders with the BJP leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda, in New Delhi yesterday evening.

    BJP leader Ranjit Kumar Dass stated that the list of candidates have been submitted and finalized during the core committee meeting of the party. Dass also added that the final list of candidates will be announced soon by the national president of BJP JP Nadda.
