    Digital Desk: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning over several regions of the country, including Saurashtra-Kutch, from March 27-30.

    Already some areas are experiencing high temperatures as this year summer arrived early in the north and west of India.

    The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for Himachal Pradesh. According to the Department, heatwave conditions are likely to occur in isolated pockets in the states of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat on Saturday and Sunday.

    As per the IMD, the maximum temperature in the next seven days will range between 35 and 38 degrees Celsius.

    HeatWave conditions are possible in isolated pockets over Saurashtra-Kutch during March 25-28 and over the Gujarat Region during March 26-28.

    The IMD also forecasted that maximum temperature would gradually rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over Maharashtra in three days, with no significant change after that. Maximum temperatures are unlikely to change significantly in the remaining parts of the country over the next 4-5 days.

    On Saturday, a maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Rajasthan's Banswara district, reviving the heatwave condition in many parts of the state. The IMD has issued a heatwave warning for many areas in the coming days.

    Te Jaipur Meteorological Center informed that the maximum temperature on Saturday exceeded 40 degrees Celsius in many places. Moreover, the department also issued a yellow alert for hot winds in some regions of the state's Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Jalore districts.

    However, the weather department has issued a rainfall alarm for northeast and south peninsular India over the next five days.

    Light to moderate scattered/fairly widespread rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim over the next five days, according to the IMD.

    In addition, IMD informed that isolated thunderstorms and lightning are also expected over the region over the next two days.
