    Major fire outbreak at Manipur’s Shirui peak, CM seeks help from Central Government

    Imphal: Months after a massive fire broke out at the famed Dzukou valley in Nagaland bordering Manipur, another major fire broke out at a forest Shirui peak situated in Manipur’s Ukhrul district.

    The Manipur Chief Minister has sought the help of the central government to douse the forest fire.

    CM Singh has also spoken to Additional Secretary, at the office of the Home Minister of India to extend all possible help from NDRF to douse the fire.

    Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force is in the process of deploying two Mi-17V5 helicopters, equipped with Bambi Bucket to douse the fire in Shirui Peak.
