YES Bank founder Rana Kapoor gets bail in fraud case
Digital Desk: In the alleged fraud case of 466.51 crores, Rana Kapoor, the former MD and CEO of YES Bank was granted bail by a Special PMLA Court in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The Delhi High Court has asked the Enforcement Directorate to respond to Rana Kapoor's bail application in the money laundering case.

Kapoor's petition was stated by Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri, who fixed a date for the case's next hearing on March 11th.

Last month, the trial judge overlooked Kapoor's plea for bail, saying that the allegations against him were "very serious and deep."

B Hariharan, Abishek S Pandey, Rajendra Kumar Mangal, Raghubir Kumar Sharma, Anil Bhargava, Tapsi Mahajan, Surendra Kumar Khandelwal, Sonu Chadha, Harsh Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Pawan Kumar Agarwal, Amit Mamtani, Ashish Agarwal, Amit Kumar, and Vinod Bahety were among the 15 other accused in the case who were granted bail.

After being summoned by the court, which took cognizance of a charge sheet submitted by the Enforcement Directorate, Kapoor filed a bail application in the trial court (ED).

The ED objected to the application, claiming that Kapoor was involved in the "proceeds of crime" generation. "

The judge stated that the 15 accused were "only hands, so to speak," and that they "appeared to have been doing certain acts/omissions, while seemingly taking instructions from either accused Gautam Thapar or accused Rana Kapoor, as their agents/employees, as per the averments mentioned in the complaint.". "

After holding secret meetings with the company's CEO Ajay Ajit Peter and other officials, Kapoor was accused of authorizing a Rs 3,642-crore loan to Cox & Kings without doing due diligence.

In another case, the central investigation agency stated that Kapoor conspired with Rakesh and Sarang Wadhawan, the Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd. promoters, to offer loans to Mack Star Marketing.
