    Goddess Kushmanda, often referred to as the creator of the universe or Brahmand in Sanskrit holds a unique place among the nine incarnations of Goddess Durga. Legend has it that after taking the form of Siddhidatri, Goddess Parvati made the sun her abode to balance the universe's energy and liberate energy from the cosmos.


    Kushmanda is famously known as Ashtabhuja, the eight-armed goddess. In her multiple hands, she carries various symbolic items, such as Kamandal, Dhanush, Bada, Kamal, Amrit Kalash, Jap Mala, Gada, and Chakra, symbolizing her divine attributes and powers.

They should wear clean and fresh clothes after bathing, preparing themselves for the divine connection. The goddess is adorned with shringaar samagri, which includes red chunri, sindoor, bangles, bindi, kajal, toe ring, comb, earrings, nose pin, necklace, mirror, anklets, and perfume.


    Maa Kushmanda is particularly pleased with offerings of red-colored flowers and Wax Gourd (Petha), symbolizing a sacrificial offering.
