Digital Desk: Today marks the sixth day of Shardiya Navratri also called shasthi. Today, we honour Maa Katyayani, the sixth incarnation of Maa Durga. Mother Katyayani is now worshipped in Ravi Yoga. Worshipping him raises one's renown and splendour.
Mother Katyayani is revered as a goddess of victory over adversaries and liberation from fear. Even the most difficult tasks are accomplished via his mercy. Katyayani is named after the sage Katyayana.
As per the myth, he appeased Goddess Durga with his penance and adoration and requested the blessing of having her as his daughter. As a result, Mother Durga came to his house as a daughter, and she was named Katyayani. She is also referred to as the goddess of war. Mother Katyayani holds a sword and a lotus in her arms while wearing a garland of white flowers.

Today is the sixth day of Navratri, according to Udayatithi. You can worship Mother Katyayani after sunrise in this case. However, it is preferable to worship them at dusk.
Colour of the Day-
Green is the colour of the sixth day of Navratri, which represents harmony and growth. It also symbolises nature, fertility, and serenity. Wearing green on this day symbolises Katyayani's protection, bravery, and well-being. Wear green on this day and pray to the Goddess for peace.
Puja Vidhi and Samagri for Navratri Day 6-
On the sixth day of Navratri, devotees are instructed to get up early, take a bath, and put on fresh clothes. Clean the puja space and place fresh flowers in front of Maa Katyayani's idol. Devotees should also hold lotus flowers in their palms while reciting mantras and praying, and present honey to the goddess as prasad and bhog to solicit her blessings.
