    : Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, arrived in
    Imphal on June 29 on a two-day visit to the violence-torn state of Manipur.
    According to sources, Gandhi would travel to Churachandpur to meet with leaders
    of civil society organisations and victims of the violence.

    Churachandpur and Bishnupur and meet with victims of violence. On June 30, the
    Congress leader will meet with representatives of Imphal valley civil society
    organisations.



    color:black">Meanwhile, just ahead of Rahul's visit to the state, a new
    incident of firing was recorded from Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Thursday
    morning, when armed miscreants wielding sophisticated weaponry attacked
    Tangnaum and L Munlai villages. At the time of filing this report, no
    casualties had been reported.
