Digital Desk: Union Minister Smriti Irani lashed out at the Opposition gathering in Patna, stating that the Congress has admitted that they will need the support of outsiders to defeat Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The senior BJP leader alluded to today's meeting of opposition leaders in Patna, Bihar.

"I especially thank Congress for publicly announcing that they cannot defeat PM Modi alone and that they need the support of others to do so," Smriti Irani stated during a press conference.

Irani went on to criticise the opposition, adding it is ironic that such politicians have gathered citizens who witnessed the death of democracy during the emergency.

"It's funny that those people are banding together to signal to the nation that their own capabilities are inadequate in the face of Modiji," she stated.

The much-anticipated Opposition summit has begun in Patna, Bihar, hosted by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, intending to strike an agreement to build a unified Opposition front to challenge the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
