Digital Desk: Muslim community members staged a nationwide protest after Friday prayers in response to provocative remarks by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled BJP leader Naveen Jindal about Prophet Muhammad.
After Friday prayers, protests erupted in numerous cities, including Delhi and Lucknow. People gathered in large numbers outside the Jama Masjid in Delhi to demand Nupur Sharma's arrest.
The nation seems to be in chaos now as "The words of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled BJP leader Naveen Kumar Jindal sparked an uproar at Jama Masjid.
According to the Delhi Police, "the folks have been removed from the area. The situation has now been brought under control."

Protest In Ludhiana: "After a protest call by Ludhiana Jama Masjid, marches were staged across Punjab seeking the arrest of individuals who humiliated the Prophet," Ludhiana's Shahi Imam told the media.
The Delhi Police have identified the miscreants behind today's Jama Masjid protest. According to police reports, the criminals appear to be local AIMIM officials. As a result, an FIR will be filed against those who organized the protest.
Protest In Uttar Pradesh: During state-wide rallies against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the state police to ensure tight checks at crucial locations.
Hundreds of protesters flocked to the streets in Saharanpur, Moradabad, and Prayagraj, as well as a few other cities in Uttar Pradesh. Others, such as Lucknow, Kanpur, and Firozabad, increased security and held marches. Last week, Kanpur saw fights over the topic, which left approximately 40 people hurt.
Protest in Kolkata: A massive crowd gathered at Park Circus in Kolkata in protest of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled BJP leader Naveen Jindal's controversial religious remarks.
Shweta Chauhan, DCP Central District, cited that about 1,500 people had assembled in Jama Masjid on Friday prayers. After the prayers, about 300 people protested Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal's aggressive remarks.
"We were able to get the situation under control in about 10-15 minutes. After that, however, protests were held on the street without permission, prompting legal action," she added.
Protest in Kashmir: As per official reports, on Friday, parts of Kashmir experienced a partial shutdown in response to two suspended BJP lawmakers' provocative remarks about Prophet Mohammad. At the same time, authorities shut down mobile Internet as a precautionary measure.
The Delhi Police filed a case against Nupur Sharma and Jindal on Thursday, two weeks after the statements were made. Moreover, Delhi Police also filed an FIR against AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, journalist Saba Naqvi, and others for "inciting people on dividing the lines" and instigating rioting.
