Digital Desk: A SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Dubai had to make an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan, on Tuesday due to a technical issue. However, the airline spokesperson reported that all passengers had been safely evacuated.
"Due to an indication light malfunction, the SpiceJet B737 aircraft operating the SG-11 (Delhi-Dubai) flight was diverted to Karachi. Passengers safely departed from the plane as it landed safely in Karachi, "said the SpiceJet spokesperson.
The spokesperson added that the plane landed normally at the Karachi airport and that no emergency had been declared.
"There had never been any prior reports of an aircraft issue. Refreshments have been provided to the passengers. To transport the passengers to Dubai, a replacement aircraft is being sent to Karachi," SpiceJet spokesperson added.

On July 2, a SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Jabalpur safely landed at the Delhi airport after the crew noticed smoke in the cabin as it passed 5000 feet. While a flight to Delhi made a forced landing in Patna after catching fire in midair.
The private airline had issued a statement claiming that a bird had struck the aircraft.
Further, SpiceJet stated that after landing, an examination revealed that three fan blades were damaged. "A SpiceJet B737-800 aircraft operating SG-723 (Patna-Delhi) on June 19, 2022. During takeoff, the flight crew suspected a bird struck Engine #1," SpiceJet's statement stated.
