New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and top officials at 12 pm on Wednesday, April 14 to discuss the issue of Central Board of Secondary Educations (CBSE) Board exams.
The meeting has called by the PM to discuss the issue related to the class 10 and 12 board exams after several organisation including actors, ministers, politicians came in support of the students and parents, apart from cancelling the exams some suggest to conduct the exams online.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced in February this year that class 10 and 12 exams will start on May 4 with all exams to be held in offline-written mode.
Reports say that PM Modi has taken note of demands to cancel exams as a fresh wave of Covid-19 situation has gripped the nation.
On Tuesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged the Centre to cancel CBSE examination for classes 10 and 12 as the city recorded nearly 13,500 Covid-19 cases.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also urged the central government to consult with all stakeholders before taking any decision.
