Born in chennia in 1983, Mr. Krishnan earned his B.Tech in Information Technology at SRM Engineering College's Kattankulathur campus in 2005. SRMIST's transformative education system took this young Indian student from his hometown to join the global tech community without borders.
Mr. Krishnan joined Microsoft in 2007 to work on Visual Studio development for Windows Azure as part of its programme management team. Throughout his professional career he took on leadership positions for Twitter, Facebook, Yahoo! and Snap while developing products and establishing teams. During his time at Facebook he established the Facebook Audience Network which challenged Google's advertising technologies while at X he successfully drove product development and user expansion activities In 2021, he joined Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) as a general partner, focusing on investments in emerging technologies like Web3 and AI.
Through his leadership he brought investments to significant companies including SpaceX and Figma and Scale.AI.
In 2022, Mr. Krishnan gained further recognition for his work with Elon Musk to reshape X after the company purchase. Through his deep understanding of AI social media trends he became a leading voice who supports AI solutions for global challenges.
Beyond his tech career, Mr. Krishnan co-hosts “The Aarthi and Sriram Show” with his wife, Mrs. Aarthi Ramamurthy.
