Akshay Kumar Starrer 'OMG 2' Gets ‘A’ Certificate With Zero Cuts, CBFC Suggests Modifications

Digital Desk: Akshay Kumar starred 'Oh My God 2'  is one of the highly anticipated films of the year. The film, which is directed by Amit Rai, will be released on August 11. Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar both are featured in the movie. One of the main concerns with "OMG 2" has to do with Akshay Kumar's portrayal of Lord Shiva in the movie. It has officially been verified that "OMG 2" received an "A - Adults Only" certificate from the censor board, even though this has been generating news about the movie. Interestingly, this is the first Akshay Kumar movie in 12 years to receive an adult-only rating.

The last movie with Akshay Kumar starring to receive an "A" certificate was Desi Boyz in 2011. And just now, his upcoming movie, "Oh My God 2," has also been given an "A" certificate. The movie has 2 hours, 36-minute runtime.

There are no visual cuts in the movie, according to sources. The cuts are on audio (dialogues). The controversial subject of sex education appears in the movie. According to sources with the CBFC, the producers have agreed to the changes, and the film will be released on August 11 as scheduled.

 

Akshay Kumar plays an avatar of Lord Shiva in the Amit Rai-directed movie. Along with Arun Govil of Ramayan fame, 'OMG 2' will also star Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and others. On August 11, it will be screened in theatres. The satirical comedy-drama is a follow-up to the popular movie "OMG- Oh My God!" from 2012. Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D. Shah, and Rajesh Bahl are the producers of the movie. The film's creative producer is Dr. Chandraprakash Diwedi. Amalendu Chaudhary handled the movie's cinematography.
