"Called a gold digger, ruined my reputation": Nora Fatehi tells Court
Fatehi claimed that Jacqueline also intentionally tried to clear herself of responsibility for activities she took in other criminal cases...

Digital Desk: Actor Nora Fatehi made a statement on Monday in court before Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Gupta regarding the defamation complaint she brought against Jacqueline Fernandez, another Bollywood actor, and many media outlets.

"This defamation case has been filed against Jacqueline Fernandez and the numerous other channels and publications who have ruined my reputation in the public eye through false narratives," said Fatehi, who appeared in Patiala House Court today.

They called me a gold digger and said that I am dating con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

"This has caused me a loss of financial gain and reputation. The ongoing ED case against Sukesh, who was suspected of defrauding a sum of Rs 200 crore, is the reason I filed this complaint, she continued. I have nothing to do with it, and I have no idea about it,” she further said.

Jacqueline has clarified to the media the reasons the ED has named me as a witness and herself as an accused party in the investigation. In her statement, Fatehi said that "this statement has resulted in prolonged and unnecessary harassment, loss of work, and cyberbullying."

In her defamation complaint, the actor also stated that she was offended by Jacqueline Fernandez's initial defamatory remarks, which were later repeated and disseminated by the other accused parties (media organizations), all of whom were acting cooperatively with one another and a conspiracy by Jacqueline Fernandez to ensure the complainant's (Fatehi) financial, social, and personal downfall was hatched and carried out by the said actions.

After hearing her statement on Monday, Patiala House Court announced that another witness in the case would also be heard in September.
Jacqueline Fernandez's statement, according to Nora's complaint, harmed her reputation for intentional motives.

In a defamation case, Fatehi claimed that Jacqueline also intentionally tried to clear herself of responsibility for activities she took in other criminal cases that had nothing to do with the complaint.

It has become clear that the aforementioned competitors, unable to adequately compete with the complainant in the industry, have begun to try and damage her reputation in the hopes of costing her job and providing a better opportunity for her competitors.
The actor said that it was "pertinent to submit that the reputation of any person in the film industry is an asset and any dent in the same would cause a huge and irreparable damage to their career."

Nora claimed that Jacqueline had made a "false statement" that was "unnecessary and unwarranted" through the representation of Vikram Singh Chauhan, Umair Ahmed, and Tanisha.

Because she works in the same field as the complainant and is fully aware that any artist's business and career are founded on their reputation, she "unnecessarily dragged the complainant" and "defamed her."

Different investigative authorities have questioned Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi on the 200 crore extortion case involving alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar and others.
