Digital Desk: In association with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser, Government of India, Prime Video launched its next reality series, Mission Start Ab, on July 12. Ten start-ups from the nation will be featured in the seven episodes, chosen by three renowned investors. At the ceremony, the series' teaser was also unveiled, featuring 10 budding business people competing against one another to win the competition and convert their aspirations into reality. The release date for the series hasn't been set yet because it is currently in production.
Speaking at the opening event, Principal Scientific Adviser, GOI, Ajay Kumar Sood praised the grassroots innovators in India for their spirit and expressed the hope that the series will provide opportunities for learning to the nation's future innovators.
"I am thrilled to launch Prime Video's reality series Mission Start Ab, lauding the incredible spirit of India's grassroots entrepreneurs. This captivating series will act as a potent platform, showcasing the moving narratives of those advancing social change via innovation. I'm confident that it will provide India's grassroots innovators with a wealth of educational opportunities, insightful knowledge about sustainable startup procedures, and the ability to draw in the proper investors. The show also aims to keep viewers entertained while fostering the expansion of our country's grassroots innovation ecosystem," Sood stated.
Director of Prime Video India, Sushant Sreeram, also talked out about the collaboration with Mission Start Ab, saying it is yet another milestone that shows the platform's dedication to the nation and its users. The platform, he continued, is developing new forms to support businesses, creators, and innovators.
One of the chief guests at the event, Alia Bhatt, praised the Government of India's initiative to support start-ups in the nation through Mission Start Ab as well as Prime Video's partnership with PSA. She said, "I expect to be wowed, surprised, on the edge of my seat. I am also expecting a lot of honesty and a lot of vulnerability and I would like to see that because it's not easy. And at the end of the day, it is a competition. I am guessing one person will win and I know one will win but the other nine people would not go unnoticed."
Bhatt said she wanted to make Ed-a-Mamma, her line of eco-friendly clothes so that kids could interact with the environment.
