    Amitabh Bachchan faces legal trouble for misleading advertisment after CAIT levied Rs 10 lakhs fine, deets inside

    Digital Desk: Amitabh Bachchan is presently hosting the fifteenth season of the quiz game Kaun Banega Crorepati. Aside from interesting films, the actor is also a marketing ambassador for various companies. 


    The actor recently appeared in an online promotional campaign. However, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) filed a complaint, accusing the commercial of being misleading, and a punishment of Rs 10 lakhs was levied on the actor.


    The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has received a complaint from the secretary general of CAIT accusing Amitabh Bachchan and an internet retailer of providing false information. 


    According to the complaint, the actor-led advertisement deceived the public about the cost of mobile phones being offered by retailers. He has also demanded the removal of the commercial and the imposition of a punishment of Rs. 10 lakhs on the brand and actor.




    In the midst of the storm, Amitabh Bachchan posted a cryptic tweet, “T 4787 – coming soon to explain lots.”




    On the professional front, the actor will appear in Ganapath: Part 1. Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon also appear in the film. The film, directed by Vikas Bahl, is set to be released on October 20, 2023. In addition, the actor has Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. 


    Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani also appear in the film. It will be released on January 12, 2024, the following year. Section 84, a courtroom drama, is also in the works for the actor. Alongside Deepika Padukone, he also stars in the Hindi adaptation of The Intern.
