Digital Desk: Disney has changed the release date by moving Marvel Studios, the Marvels film, from summer to fall.
The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, has been put back from July 28 to November 10, according to The Hollywood Reporter, a US-based entertainment news outlet.
Similarly, the theme park-based Haunted Mansion will take over the July 28 slot beginning August 11th.
The Marvels is the sequel to Captain Marvel, which grossed $1 billion (about Rs. 8,300 crores) worldwide. It is directed by Candyman filmmaker Nia DaCosta and stars Teyonah Parris as Captain Marvel's grown-up Monica Rambeau.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor made her Marvel debut with WandaVision, featuring scriptwriter Megan McDonnell from The Marvels.
In a storyline in which these three heroes switch places every time they utilise their powers, it also stars Ms. Marvel breakout Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. The premise was hinted at in the Ms. Marvel conclusion, which featured a cameo by Larson's Captain Marvel.
After releasing 18 projects across TV and theatrical in 2021 and 2022, Marvel plans to slow down and spread out its Disney+ TV output.
