Digital Desk: Salman Khan has spoken out on that Bollywood films are failing and why the ratio of flops surpasses hits. Last year, a handful of Bollywood films became super-hits or blockbusters. The list includes Gangubai Kathiawadi, The Kashmir Files, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, and Drishyam 2. So far this year, only Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan has achieved the status of a blockbuster.

Salman Khan spoke at a news conference on Wednesday. After addressing the media, Salman took questions from journalists. When asked about the current state of Bollywood, he stated, "I have been saying for a long time that our Hindi films are not working. Galat picture banaoge toh kaise chalegi (If you make the wrong movies, how will they work)? Today filmmakers have a different understanding of India. They believe it is from Andheri to Colaba. The filmmakers I've met and spoken to are much too cool. They create that kind of content. Hindustan, on the other hand, is very different. They start from the east of the railway stations."

However, Salman is also cautious that his remarks would not come back to harm him, as his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan will be released in a few weeks. "Bhari nahi padhna chaiye (It should affect me). It (Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan) is releasing on April 21 and I hope everyone likes it," the actor said.

On the professional front, Salman recently appeared in a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan. Before that, Antim: The Final Truth was Salman's last movie in a leading role. The film by Mahesh Manjrekar received mixed reviews, although Khan was acclaimed for his portrayal. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Salman's next film, will be released in theatres on April 21. After KKBKKJ, Salman will star alongside Katrina Kaif in the much anticipated Tiger 3. Tiger 3 will hit theatres on Diwali 2023.
