Vivek Agnihotri and Anurag Kashyap are bickering on Twitter over The Kashmir Files...
Digital Desk: Anurag Kashyap vs. Vivek Agnihotri! Heated argument and disagreement over The Kashmir Files. It all began when Anurag declared that "Pushpa, Kantara, and KGF" had destroyed Bollywood. The latter responded by challenging the Dobaaraa director to disprove his four-year investigation for The Kashmir Files.
The Kashmir Files has sparked debate since its release in theatres in March 2022. This year, the film was one of the highest-grossing in Bollywood.
However, The Kashmir Files has sparked several controversies in recent months. The most recent being the verbal spat between Anurag Kashyap and Vivek Agnihotri. Anurag's remarks about how 'Pushpa and KGF wrecked Bollywood' did not sit well with Vivek. In response to his remarks, The Kashmir Files director referred to Anurag as a "Bollywood Milord."
Anurag has now responded to this. He took to Twitter to say,"Sir aapki galti nahin hai, aap ki filmon ki research bhi aisi hi hoti hai jaise aapki mere conversations pe tweet hai. Aapka aur aapki media ka bhi same haal hai. Koi nahin next time thoda serious research kar lena (Sir, this is not your fault. Your films are researched in the same way as your tweets on my conversations. You and your media are in a similar state. No problem, next time do a little serious research) (sic)."
Vivek's response did not stop there, He stated, "Bholenath, aap lage haath sabit kar hi do ki #TheKashmirFiles ka 4 saal ka research sab jhooth tha. Girija Tikoo, BK Ganju, Airforce killing, Nadimarg sab jhooth tha. 700 Panditon ke video sab jhooth the. Hindu kabhi mare hi nahin. Aap prove kar do, DOBAARA aisi galti nahin hogi (Oh Bholenath, please go ahead and prove that The Kashmir Files' 4 years research was all a lie. Girija Tikoo, BK Ganju, Airforce killing, Nadimarg was all a lie. Videos of 700 Pandits was a lie. Hindus never died. You prove it and this mistake won't happen DOBAARAA (again) (sic)."
In a recent interview, Anurag Kashyap offered his viewpoint about how 'Pushpa, Kantara and KGF' devastated Bollywood. "I definitely totally totally disagree with the ideas of Bollywood's one & only Milord," Vivek posted on Twitter.
"With pan-India, what is happening right now is that everybody is attempting to make a pan-India film," Anurag stated at the Galatta Plus panel. The likelihood of success is 5-10%. Kantara and Pushpa give you the confidence to go out and express your tales. But, no matter how successful KGF 2 was, trying to replicate it and launch a project is a recipe for catastrophe. That is the bandwagon on which Bollywood has ruined itself. You must seek for films that inspire you."
The Twitter feud between Anurag Kashyap and Vivek Agnihotri drew a lot of attention.
