Digital Desk: Amid the escalating conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas, Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has been stranded in Israel, unable to return home to India. A member of her team revealed the predicament on Saturday, shedding light on the dire situation that has unfolded in the region.

Nushrratt had traveled to Israel to attend the Haifa International Film Festival, but the rapidly deteriorating security situation has left her stranded in an undisclosed location. A team member stated, "Nushrratt has been unfortunately stranded in Israel. She had flown there to attend the Haifa International Film Festival. The last time that I managed to get in touch with her was around 12:30 pm earlier today when she was safe in a basement. For safety measures, further details cannot be disclosed. However, since then, we were not able to connect. We are trying to get Nushrratt back safely to India and hope she returns back in the best of health and unharmed."

The crisis in Israel escalated on Saturday as a full-fledged war erupted between Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli government. The conflict has already claimed the lives of at least 200 people and left over 1,000 injured. Hamas militants launched more than 5,000 rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel and captured several Israeli soldiers near the border.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, "We are at war, not an operation. Hamas has launched a murderous surprise attack against the State of Israel and its citizens. I ordered first of all to cleanse the settlements of the terrorists who had infiltrated and ordered a large-scale mobilization of reserves. The enemy will pay a price they have never known."

Meanwhile, in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also posted on X, “Deeply shocked by the news of terrorist attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the innocent victims and their families. We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour.”

As the conflict intensifies, the safety and well-being of those, like Nushrratt Bharuccha, who find themselves stranded in the midst of this turmoil, remain a pressing concern. Efforts to ensure their safe return continue, amidst the backdrop of a region grappling with escalating violence and uncertainty.
