Digital Desk: Madonna said she fells "lucky" to be alive and thankful to her loved ones for their support after the "Queen of Pop" had to postpone the start of an international tour due to a bacterial infection.

Madonna, 64, wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday, about a month after her release from the hospital, "Love from family and friends is the best Medicine.”

After spending several days in an intensive care unit owing to a "serious bacterial infection," the pop artist was forced to postpone her impending "Celebration" tour, reports stated.

The tour was previously scheduled to begin on July 15 in Canada with special guest Bob the Drag Queen, and it was supposed to end at the end of January in Mexico. It was anticipated that both North America and Europe will attend the concert commemorating her four decades of music.

Madonna claimed in an Instagram post that the "love and support from my friends" had also helped her heal.

Madonna further said, "When I got this gift, I started crying because I realized how fortunate I am to still be alive. And how blessed I am to have known them as well as so many others who are now deceased."

"Thank you @guyoseary for this gift!" she wrote. "And Thank you to all my angels who protected me and let me Stay to finish doing my work!"
