Gufi Paintal, who played Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat,' is in critical condition and has been admitted to a hospital...

Digital Desk: 'Mahabharat' is without a doubt one of India's most popular television shows in India. Even after so many years, viewers are still drawn to the mythical show's epic tale and characters. Gufi Paintal, who played Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat,' is in severe condition and has been admitted to a hospital. His nephew, Hiten Paintal, confirmed the actor's health news. Later, Gufi's friend, actress Tinaa Ghaai, posted a message on social media seeking prayers for his quick recovery.

Reportedly, Gufi's health had been deteriorating for some time, but things took a turn for the worst on May 31. After that, he was brought to the hospital.

His nephew, Hiten Paintal, told PTI, "He had blood pressure and heart issues. He was becoming extremely unwell, and this had been going on for some time. Now that the situation was critical, we took him to the hospital for monitoring. He has spent seven to eight days in the hospital. He was initially critical, but he is now stable."

Tina Ghai shared a post on Instagram about Gufi Paintal's health. She also asked fans to pray for his recovery. She wrote, "#GufiPaintal ji #Takleef mein hain #prarthana ki jeeye. (Gufi Paintal ji is in pain, please pray for him.)"

Tina later confirmed the news to the media, but she didn't go into much detail about the actor's condition as his family has refused to address it.

Gufi Paintal is not only an exceptional actor, but also a filmmaker. His epic 'Mahabharat' TV series, which initially aired in the late 1980s, is his lasting legacy. His other works, including 'Rafoo Chakkar,' 'Des Pardes,' 'Dillagi,' 'Maidan-E-Jung,' and 'Daava,' are also highly regarded.
