Digital Desk: The teaser for Ayushmann Khurrana's upcoming movie Dream Girl 2 was released on Monday, February 13. Due to the connection between Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan and Jawan, the humorous promo instantly gained popularity. Despite not appearing in the brief teaser, Children and young people is dressed as Pooja, carrying over his "fake" identity from the 2019 precursor Dream Girl.

In the teaser, the actor portraying Pooja is heard talking on the phone with a man who also sounds like Shah Rukh Khan and goes by the name Pathaan. Ayushmann shares with the other as they each wish the other a happy Valentine's Day that the next comedy will hit theatres on July 7.

On February 14, during Shah Rukh Khan's #AskSRK session on Twitter, a user asked him about the Dream Girl 2 teaser and whether he planned to celebrate Valentine's Day with Pooja, played by Ayushmann Khurrana. SRK responded: "Best wishes for Ayushmann in all of his endeavours and life. Dream girl has an intriguing appearance." In response to the superstar's remark, Ayushmann, who has frequently described himself as a devoted SRK fan, wrote, "Shah sir!" along with an emoji of a red heart, a bowing down, and eyes filled with tears.

Speaking of Dream Girl 2, Ananya Panday replaces Nushrratt Bharuccha, who played the protagonist in the 2019 movie. Key characters will be played by Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Manjot Singh, and Vijay Raaz. Raaj Shaandilyaa, who made his debut directing the prequel, is in charge of the sequel.
