After ban in Kuwait and Oman, Qatar puts release of ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ on hold

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directed the film "Samrat Prithviraj." Manushi Chhillar plays the role of King Prithviraj’s beloved Sanyogita.

Digital Desk: After Kuwait and Oman banned the release of Samrat Prithviraj’, Qatar has now put a hold on the Akshay Kumar-starrer.

Samrat Prithviraj' is based on the daring and great King Prithviraj Chauhan's life and valour. In this visually stunning film, Akshay plays the heroic warrior who fought valiantly to rescue India from the cruel invader, Muhammad of Ghor.

"The issue is excessively being tinted with a religious lens in these countries," a source working in overseas territories adds, speaking on the condition of anonymity. People should watch a film that is historically accurate and authentic from a neutral standpoint. Invaders who happened to be Muslims plundering India is a truth. The truth is that Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan fought one of these invaders and struggled to safeguard India until he died. History should be seen for what it is."

"The source continues, "After being banned in Kuwait and Oman, another Islamic country, Qatar, has placed the film's release on hold," The film will not be available to Indians living in these countries, which is really regrettable. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for everyone to observe, enjoy, and celebrate one's past.

"Some are attempting to deprive Indians of this opportunity." "Common sense should win."

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi directed the film "Samrat Prithviraj." Manushi Chhillar plays the role of King Prithviraj’s beloved Sanyogita.
