Anushka Sharma has made her comeback with her upcoming film, a biopic on Indian women's cricket captain and fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Recently, she has been practicing alot to get in form.
Digital Desk: Anushka Sharma is doing everything she can to get under the skin of Jhulan Goswami, an ace Indian cricketer. The actress, who has been out of the spotlight since 2018, will return with Chakda Xpress, a biopic on Jhulan Goswami, the former captain of India's national women's cricket team. Anushka uploaded a selfie on her Instagram after her practice session, captioning it, "Post practise in this heatwave." The actress is sweating it out on the cricket pitch in a workout outfit—a black t-shirt and sunglasses.
Lately, Anushka Sharma has been polishing her bowling and batting skills in preparation for her upcoming film, which stars Jhulan Goswami. She keeps her fans up to date by posting images from her practice sessions on Instagram. The actress had previously released a short film of herself practicing in the nets. Anushka Sharma also shared a teaser for Chakda Xpress, describing it as a "special film" because it tells the story of a great sacrifice. "Chakda Xpress is inspired by former Indian skipper Jhulan Goswami's life and works, and it will be an eye-opener into the world of women's cricket," according to the Anushka's message.
Chakda Xpress, directed by Prosit Roy, is a biography of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. It will follow her road to becoming the Indian women's national cricket team captain. Anushka Sharma will play the part of Jhulan in the film. The film will release on Netflix this year.
