Rajkumar Hirani's film Dunki will hit the theatres on December 22, 2023.
Digital Desk: After a long time, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen on the silver screen; fans are going crazy over the news of his comeback with the forthcoming film 'Dunki' starring Sharukh Khan and Tapsee Pannu.
Hirani as a director is always known in the film industry for portraying films with social messages; previously, the filmmaker has worked with superstars such as Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Ranbir Kapoor. It's the first time that Shah Rukh is making an appearance as the main protagonist in Rajkumar Hirani's film 'Dunki'.
Fans of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani should be excited because their first collaborative film, 'Dunki,' will be released on December 22, 2023.
About the collaboration with SRK, Hirani said, "Through my career, Shah Rukh Khan has always been on my wish list. After trying to collaborate several times in the past, we were finally destined to have 'Dunki' mark our partnership. The energy, charisma, humor, and charm that he brings to a film is unparalleled, and I look forward to bringing that magic to the big screen."
On this, SRK replying to Hirani's statement, said, "Raj Kumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation. We have always spoken about working together, and I am extremely happy we are finally doing it with 'Dunki'. We have just started shooting this month, and I cherish every moment. Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey…Kuch bhi ban sakta hoon!"
Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films.

Taapsee, who plays a pivotal role in the film opposite SRK, stated, "I am beyond excited to embark on this journey and be a part of this special film." It's my first time working with Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan, two people I greatly admire and respect."
About The Film 'Dunki'
Well, the story of Dunki is a social drama based on 'Donkey Flight', a border immigration issue. Many of you won't know what 'Donkey flight' means? "Donkey flight is illegal to enter a foreign country via multiple stops in other countries. It's a popular method adopted by thousands of youngsters every year after failing to enter the target country via legitimate means.
According to a source, Hirani's film, in its characteristic style, approaches this broad issue with a dynamic and light-hearted narrative. "It's the story of a Punjabi man and his long journey to Canada."
The film's first schedule began filming in April, while the second is now being shot in Punjab.
