The popularity of the Kannada film at the box office confirms the view that Hindi remakes of southern films are gaining ground in the northern and western regions.
Digital Desk: The most awaited film of the year had crossed the limits in the film industry,people are hovering over tickets to watch KGF chapter-2, which makes the film the highest grossing film of the year and also surpassing the hindi version of the powerpact film RRR.
The Hindi remake of the Kannada film has done extremely well at the box office. Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 is a huge hit in India and around the world. KGF: Chapter 2 was released in five languages on April 14 after being postponed many times.
KGF: Chapter 2 is doing really well at the box office and has sold out in a number of states. Even the Hindi version of the film is causing a stir and ringing cash registers. The Hindi version of KGF surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in just three days of release. The long weekend is helping to raise sales even further.
According to Box Office India, the Hindi version of the film grossed Rs 42.9 crore on its third day, bringing the total to over Rs 143 crore. By the end of the weekend, the film is projected to have surpassed the Rs 180 crore mark.
The film is not only doing well in India, but it has also made waves in the United States as well.
KGF: Chapter 2 follows Yash's Rocky after he takes over the Kolar Gold Fields, directed by Prashanth Neel. According to KGF: Chapter 2's post-credits sequence, Although it is confirmed that KGF part 3 is also buckled up ,The film stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raveena Tandon in prominent roles, with Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, John Kokken, and Saran seen in supporting roles.
