India's Oscar entry Chhello Show's Child actor Rahul Koli passes away
Chhello Show child actor Rahul Koli, whose role was dubbed Last Film Show in English, passed away from cancer.

Digital Desk: Rahul Koli, a child actor of Chhello Show or Last Film Show fame, passed away from cancer at the age of 10. He was one of the six young performers that appeared in the movie, which is India's official submission for the 95th Academy Awards' Best International Feature Film category.

Rahul's father reportedly stated that the deceased child star had experienced numerous fever attacks prior to passing away and had also vomited blood. He stated that the family would watch Chhello Show collectively following Rahul's final rites. Release day is October 14.

He was excited and frequently informed me that our life will change after October 14th. But he left us earlier," the grieving father Ramu added, revealing that Rahul passed away on October 2.

Rahul Koli, the young actor who starred in India's Oscar-nominated Chhelo Show, passed away in Ahmedabad from leukaemia. After receiving a blood cancer diagnosis, the 10-year-old was receiving treatment at the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute.

"On Sunday, October 2, he ate breakfast, and in the hours that followed, he experienced many outbreaks of fever. Rahul then vomited blood three times, and in an instant, my kid was gone. Our entire family is in shock. However, when we carry out his final purification rites, we will watch his "last film show" together on October 14 on the day of its release, according to his father Ramu Koli,  he had one older child named Rahul.

On Monday, his family gathered for prayer at his hometown hamlet of Hapa, which is close to Jamnagar.

The time period of Last Film Show, which is at the dawn of the digital revolution, was inspired by Pan Nalin's personal memories of falling in love with movies as a young child in rural Gujarat. The narrative of a nine-year-old boy, who begins a lifelong love affair with cinema after he bribes his way into a dilapidated movie theatre and spends a summer viewing films from the projection booth, is told in this movie, which is set in a distant rural community in Saurashtra.

The festival was founded by Hollywood legend Robert De Niro. On October 14, it will open in theatres. Last Film Show will be shown at 95 theatres across India on the day before its official release, with tickets costing 95.

Chhello Show beat out competition including SS Rajamouli's RRR, Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files, and R Madhavan's directorial debut Rocketry, according to FFI president TP Aggarwal.
