    Assam Minister Offers Condolences, Delivers Aid to Gujarat Family of Pahalgam Terror Victim
    Pijush  Hazarika remarked that hearing the firsthand account of the Pahalgam terror incident from the grieving family once again highlighted the brutality of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism

    Digital Desk: In a gesture of solidarity and compassion, Pijush Hazarika, Minister of Water Resources, Information and Public Relations for Assam, went to Surat on Wednesday to offer condolences to Shaileshbhai Himmatbhai Kalathiya’s loved ones. One of those killed in the Pahalgam, Kashmir, terror attack by Pakistan-backed militants on 22nd April.

    As Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma had directed, Minister Hazarika visited the family of the deceased officers, accompanied by senior Assam government official Dr. Om Prakash. He was present there and showed his sympathy by handing over ₹5 lakh from the Assam Government, along with a condolence letter sent personally by Chief Minister Dr. Sarma.
    Hearing the Pahalgam family share their story reminded Minister Hazarika once more highlighted the brutality of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. He reiterated Assam’s firm stance against such acts of violence and affirmed solidarity with victims across the nation.

    The family members Shaileshbhai thanked Minister Hazarika, Chief Minister Sarma, and the people of Assam for being with them at such a difficult time.

    Minister Hazarika is scheduled to visit Bhavnagar, Gujarat, tomorrow to meet the families of the other two victims of the Pahalgam terror attack and extend similar condolences and assistance as part of Assam’s humanitarian outreach.
